Ridgeline

A house cut into the hillside above Malibu, with views that run from the canyons down to the ocean. The interiors stay quiet so the landscape can do the talking: plaster walls and built-ins, travertine underfoot, pale oak and brushed brass.

Window seats and corner benches are carved straight from the architecture, and the primary bath sits in a glass corner with the hills on one side and the Pacific on the other.
